Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Williamsville, New York

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in a CPA Firm located in WILLIAMSVILLE, New York. This role is crucial in planning, organizing, and managing multiple responsibilities and resources to meet the objectives of the firm. The Tax Manager will be expected to multitask and manage a large volume of client engagements, ensuring efficiency and high-quality client service in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment objectives

• Manage a large volume of client engagements, maintaining efficiencies and high-quality client service

• Communicate complex technical matters into an understandable format for clients

• Direct and maintain a motivated and empowered work team

• Manage assignment budget and profitability for assigned projects and client engagements

• Maintain current knowledge of detail oriented standards, and obtain a detailed understanding of emerging laws and regulations to be able to teach/train associates

• Process and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilize skills in CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Compliance, and Income Tax Accounting. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a CPA firm or similar setting.

• Strong knowledge and experience in tax management within a public context is essential.

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax is required.

• Must demonstrate a strong understanding of compliance procedures and regulations.

• Proficiency in income tax accounting is necessary.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Must have a strong ethical framework and adhere to detail oriented standards.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
