Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst (FA) will provide support to the Nursing Finance Director at New Brunswick to help them achieve their financial objectives. The FA will be responsible for organizing reports, performing analysis, making recommendations, and being involved in projects and processes that involve nursing operational managers and supervisors.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business.

• Knowledge of budgets/financial reporting and creating various analysis.

• Use of guides and financial data to prepare and maintain nursing related staffing projections and analysis.

• Advanced use of Excel. Efficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preferred:

• EPIC experience.

• Experience with productivity as well as staffing.

• Experience related to position control.

• Experience with core deficit, payroll, and scheduling.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-time, Day

Essential Functions:

• Maintain staffing guidelines and ensure position control and agency reporting is updated and accurate.

• Assist in productivity monitoring by developing and or maintaining reports/forecasting staffing needs.

• Evaluate and monitor department level productivity with the Nursing Leaders at New Brunswick.

• Assist in special projects to help achieve hospital goals and targets.

• Use and creation of EPIC reports to review charge level detail to access staffing needs.

• Assist with the budgeting process as elbow support for department managers/Nursing Finance Director to ensure requested items align with strategic goals and benchmarks and is completed in accordance with the budget schedule.

• Review the accuracy of payroll and report on key benchmarks New Brunswick is tracking related to specific pay types.

• Maintain various reports and metrics as required by the labor union.
