The Design Director is a leadership role on the SiriusXM creative team and part of the larger digital experience team. The Design Director works closely with the Creative Director and design, product and marketing leaders to create innovative digital experiences that drive business results and delight customers. You will be responsible for working collaboratively to create experiences that align with our business goals, create designs that follow brand and experience standards and bring innovative solutions to diverse challenges. You have experience building dynamic digital environments, creating template-based design systems, CMS driven content experiences and improving design process with a positive attitude.
You will help transform SiriusXM into a digital first enterprise. Ideal candidate will create breakthrough concepts and drive cultural change through the team and be accountable for meeting both business and creative goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead diverse digital design/UX projects and create innovative digital experiences.
Work hands-on as a digital designer and user experience designer.
Partner with digital design team to allocate resources and manage project timelines.
Partner with marketing, product and brand partners to create design solutions that meet business KPI's and align with brand standards.
Package creative concepts and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways.
Drive conversions throughout the entire customer journey.
Develop Information Architecture (IA) that aligns to complex taxonomies and create the foundation for a system of modules, templates and landing pages that power the website experience.
Collaborate with analytics and testing team on iterative tests to improve and optimize key metrics.
Use subjective and objective data and research to inform design decisions and strategies.
Develop design/UX strategies to meet business goals and meet user goals.
Make informed design decisions based upon data from a variety of sources, including user testing.
- This role will have direct reports.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
6-10+ years in a senior design/UX role and 5+ years of management experience.
Adobe Digital design suite including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools, preferably Sketch and InVision.
Experience designing fully responsive web pages.
Experience with rapid prototyping.
Experience with user research and testing.
Must have an impressive portfolio of samples that show your creativity and understanding of user experience, design, digital product design, app design and marketing.

Experience directing a team of digital/UX designers.
Strong ability to lead teams and projects as well as work hands on.
Data-driven designer who understands how to target a message for a specific audience and drive conversions and transactional KPIs.
Experience creating a style guide and directing it's use and evolution.
A proven, subject matter expert in digital design, user experience design, and frontend development; experience with taxonomy development and building complex IA logic.
Experience leading usability studies and user-testing both with in-person sessions and using digital technologies.
Able to clearly explain and defend design and UX decisions to diverse constituents.
Must have a collaborative work process.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Experience with a/b testing tools and technology: Adobe Target, Optimizely, etc.
Expert with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, html/css authoring tools, Jira (and project management software).
Design tool experience, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Sketch and InVision.
Expert experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Axure, Origami, Sketch, etc).
HTML and CSS with Angular/Bootstrap experience; understanding of AJAX/JQuery capabilities and limitations.
Knowledge of WCAG and accessibility requirements.
Retouching and color correction expertise a plus.
