Amazon Principal Technical Program Manager, Digital and Emerging Markets Payments in Seattle, Washington

The Digital & Emerging Payments Tech Team’s vision is to delight our customers with the best payment experience in the world! To achieve this vision, we are in search of Principal Technical Program Manager who will lead delivery of large, significantly complex, cross-functional technology initiatives and launch customer facing features for customers in Latin America. Our team has presence in 10+ geos and we build highly customized and seamless payment experiences for our local and global customers.

As a TPM on our team, you will be responsible for owning the roadmap, define clear requirements, make/facilitate tech design choice and decisions, and plan and achieve the delivery dates. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, influence system architecture, and spearhead the best practices to delivery high quality products. The ideal candidate is clearly passionate about new opportunities and has a demonstrated track record delivering new features and products in highly complex environment. A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. You will tackle large complex projects, document complex business rules in a highly distributed team, understand service-oriented architecture and lead build of reliable, scalable, secure products for our customers in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 8+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
