Amazon Finance Manager, Amazon Devices in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a strategic business partner in the Devices Customer Experience team to drive growth for the Amazon Devices business. We are looking for a top analytical mind to develop a deep payments and installments understanding, create key performance indicators, provide guidance to prioritize and influence the tech roadmap, and measure success of our payment instruments.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and have highly respected business acumen. This role partners directly with cross-functional leadership and multiple Devices, Payments, Legal and Accounting teams, and requires strong communication and technical skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to key installment/payment initiatives and investments

  • Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning

  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of Financial performance for installments

  • Ad hoc business support

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
