General Motors Senior QE Automation Engineer - Commercial Software Engineering in Roswell, Georgia

Job Description

In this Senior Automation QE role, you get to work on automated frameworks for both web, backend mobile platforms of GM’s new enterprise electrified fleet application management. What you get to do in this role:

  • Hands on designing and developing test automation framework and test scripts

  • Refactor and enhance existing automation framework to adapt to the changes in the tech stack for GM’s Commercial Software fleet management products in Azure cloud platform.

  • Implement feature automation and create new tooling needed to automate our manual tests.

  • Maintain test framework and ensure flaky tests are identified and fixed efficiently and timely to unblock CI / CD releases.

  • Document and train others on best practices to write efficient, highly maintainable and scalable tests for our front end and backend automated tests.

  • Ensure automated tests are fast, scalable and stable.

  • Integrate test automation with CI / CD release pipeline using Azure Devops

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in automation framework design and implementation in web, mobile and backend from scratch

  • Proven experience developing comprehensive automation framework in, Java

  • Proven experience developing comprehensive automation framework in Espresso, Kotlin, Rest-assured, Typescript, Playwright, Java

  • Experience building automated pipelines (CI / CD) to run automated tests and troubleshooting test failures in Azure Devops pipelines.

  • Very good knowledge in test methodologies and test design patterns

  • Ability to learn new software tools quickly as necessary.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative team player.

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong in automation design patterns

  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
