Sales, Key Account Manager- Hospital Patient Monitoring

Philips has a number one market share position in Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM). This category is moving from a hardware centric model to an enterprise, vendor agnostic software ecosystem. We are seeking individuals to help us on that journey. Candidates will be working with C-Suite clients and leverage HPM’s innovation to tackle healthcare’s biggest challenges – from staffing pressures to quality outcomes, to new care models. This is an Account Manager role and compensation will be tied to results, but previous selling experience is not necessarily required.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled individual with a quantitative background, strong understanding of healthcare systems, and has experience in process improvement (lean, six sigma, or agile). We want candidates that have had client facing experience (or have worked in a healthcare system), have demonstrated their ability to manage large / complex situations, and skills in helping teams overcome change management. Additionally, as a Key Account Manager, you are expected to be a leader within your territory, and orchestrate the internal stakeholders assigned therein.

Join us at Philips Healthcare and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving patient outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery. Apply now to make a meaningful impact in the rapidly evolving healthcare industry.

Your role:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and increased market penetration within assigned health systems.

  • Utilize quantitative skills to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Specialists, marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within health systems, including administrators, clinicians, and IT professionals.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on patient monitoring solutions, providing guidance and support to customers throughout the sales process and beyond.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements to proactively address customer needs and market challenges.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to advocate for product enhancements, service improvements, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

You're the right fit if:

  • 5+ years of field sales experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Informatics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

  • Strong understanding of health system operations and dynamics, with experience working directly within health systems.

  • Experience in roles that involve process optimization, quality management, or project management.

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry outside of pharmaceuticals, with a focus on solution-based selling rather than relationship-based selling.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Sales position.

Desired Characteristics

  • Advanced degree.

  • Experience working with consultants or software deployers (e.g., Epic) within healthcare settings.

  • Proven track record of success in customer-facing sales roles, preferably within the healthcare or medical device industry.

  • Proven experience in Lean methodologies (focusing on eliminating waste and improving efficiency), and/or Six Sigma (which aims to reduce defects and variations in processes).
