CarShield is seeking talent to joins its growing Database Development team. This role is responsible for developing and managing databases in a SQL environment. Successful candidates will have a solid background in the creation, maintenance, and modification of databases in SQL.

Reporting to the Database Development Manager, this position is responsible for:

• Managing current databases;
• Helping with migration to new version of SQL Server;
• Developing new stored procedures and SSIS packages to efficiently provide data for interval websites and analytic software;
• Managing imports of data from third-party vendors;
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements for SQL Database Developer:

• Must be able to work in-office in St. Peters, MO;
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server in a professional setting;
• Experience creating and modifying stored procedures;
• Experience creating and modifying tables, views, and functions;
• Understanding of T-SQL queries;
• Working knowledge of creating and maintaining SSIS packages;
• Basic knowledge of performance tuning stored procedures and indexing;
• Basic knowledge in developing and designing databases and data models;
• Knowledge of C# scripting in SSIS packages preferred;
• Experience troubleshooting and fixing bugs or faults in programming;
• Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Ability to effectively multi-task.
