S ummary
The Technical Specialist-3, Document Control , is responsible for helping manage and administer the C&D project record management system (currently Asite ). This position supports various users in the DSO, Business Units and Development , and the collective user base, including Contractors and Consultants, in operating and maintaining the system and providing timely expert advice on resolving issues as they arise. The incumbent will assist with managing, developing, enhancing, customizing, and administering this system.
Responsibilities
Assist with aspects of ASite administration and development, including the following:
Set up projects (Design-Bid-Build/Design-Build) and maintain the integrity of the projects during their full life cycle through completion.
Archive projects after they have been completed. Maintain archive of projects completed in Asite and those completed in Asite’s predecessor , ConstructWare . Coordinate with MTA DT (Digital Twin) application.
Deliver system training.
Support and collaborate with the various BUs to ensure that their needs/issues are being addressed.
Support data extracts and reporting required by management across C&D.
Implement electronic project management technical requirements, processes , and standards.
Apply and maintain system security user account creation/management to ensure that only authorized employees and consultants/contractors can access the system, granting authorized user rights based on the requirements of the positions and the business needs.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical discipline, Engineering Technology/Engineering Science , or an equivalent subject.
Must have a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
A satisfactory equivalent of specialized experience in planning, specification, design, and/or installation inspection of railroad signal systems may be substituted for the educational requirement, subject to approval.
Competencies :
R elevant experience maintaining, administering, customizing, and supporting an electronic project records management system ( Asite or equivalent cloud - based system).
Experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
Ability to provide both hands-on and remote technical support to all ASite users.
High level of professional integrity and work ethic with a dedication to providing high - quality service.
Excellence in presentation, facilitation , and written communication skills.
Basic working knowledge of Active Directory and ServiceNow is a plus.
Familiarity and experience with Bentley ProjectWise is a plus.
