Position Summary:

The perfect opportunity for a seasoned broadcast, film, theater or live event production or operations leader to join our market-leading audio company to support a select SiriusXM creative team by overseeing production planning, execution, and quality control of high-profile live, prerecorded, and curated archive audio shows with some video and live-audience aspects featuring on-air hosts and other performers in studio, remote and field locations, executing spontaneous and pre-planned content. Position oversees a technical production team and works well with content heads, talent, producers, directors, technical teams, outside partners and administrative departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Reporting to senior leadership, work with key producers to plan the execution of creative ideas from general production needs.

  • Plan for on-site audio and video equipped studios provide necessary ability to execute growing and changing creative needs in conjunction with SiriusXM engineering leaders.

  • Plan for off-site live broadcast or recording events are suitably planned for, technically supported, and appropriately permissioned in conjunction with SiriusXM producers, SiriusXM engineers, representatives of the offsite locations and SiriusXM legal.

  • Plan for, and stage-manage, on-site live broadcast specials with multiple talent, producer, guest and technical elements.

  • Plan for disaster recovery and backup procedures; "the show must go on".

  • Review existing plans and processes for improvements and re-inventions.


  • Ensure top-level operational and technical execution by production teams and outside partners of live and prerecorded broadcasts.

  • Set top-level standards for production team's use of automated playback systems and editing systems.

  • Ensure quality-control standards are met by production team and other involved parties.

  • Oversee execution of production plans with necessary approvals by senior leadership and appropriate partners.

  • Oversee production execution during live broadcasts including acting as a Production Stage Manager for certain complex live segments.

  • Work on special projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Position oversees a technical production team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical leader in audio, television, film, theatrical and/or live event production ie: production management, operations management.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Confident and experience operating at a manager-level interacting with senior creative, administrative, technical, marketing and outside partner leaders as well as high-profile guests, talent and contributors.

  • Extremely organized yet flexible.

  • Diplomatic and low-stress in high-pressure fast-paced environments.

  • Enjoys self-starting, taking initiative and solving problems.

  • A healthy appreciation of the absurd.

  • Proven history of project planning and project managing.

  • Proven history of ensuring top-level quality control and quality standards.

  • Proven history of working with minimal supervision.

  • Passionate about being involved in producing great shows and great content.

  • Hours are generally weekday but occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills :

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (PowerPoint, excel, outlook, etc).

  • Knowledge of Prophet or Telos a plus.
