Job Summary

The FreeWheel Revenue Finance team needs a mission-driven, self-starting, quantitative thinker to support the development and analysis of pricing strategy and guardrail development (rate-cards) across markets for FreeWheel’s major product offerings. This role sits within Revenue Finance’s Commercial Finance organization, specifically the Strategic Pricing & Revenue Process Infrastructure group. This role’s primarily responsibility will be around Strategic Pricing, but It also includes (on an as needed basis) partnering with the Senior Analyst, Commercial Finance to execute Finance process infrastructure initiatives. This role reports into the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance. Main job responsibilities include performing pricing analysis responsibilities surrounding new initiatives that fall within FreeWheel’s Product Launch process framework . This includes ad-hoc requests and the ongoing monitoring of past pricing guidance. The Commercial Finance Senior Analyst will report into the Commercial Finance team (within the larger Revenue Finance team) and will work closely with Strategy, Legal, Revenue Operations, Product, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Finance, Finance Operations, and other stakeholders by communicating pricing guidance, reporting impact, and assisting with recommending potential pricing initiatives. Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Supports Strategic Pricing & Revenue Process Infrastructure lead (Sr. Mgr Commercial Finance) in executing responsibilities within the Product “Launch” framework for all new offerings, packaging, etc. Partners with FP&A to ensure guidance aligns with strategic and financial goals

  • Main support for detail analysis to create recommendations for all things rate-card.

  • Support development and delivery of pricing-related training to sales teams.

  • Support development of practical tools (such as guidelines, templates and analytical tools) to help stakeholders and Deal Pricing & Analytics team better self-serve in client negotiations or product development.

  • Administrative owner of the Pricing documentation hub and curation of its associated content (wikis, Sharepoint, Microsoft Planner, Lucidcharts, etc.)

  • Perform analysis surrounding the activity of our offerings, validating the effectiveness of pricing guidance delivered to date

  • Support analysis (both financial and strategic) of potential new products, pricing strategies, and strategic opportunities;

  • Support work around Finance process infrastructure initiatives as assigned

  • Special projects and ad-hoc data requests / scenario analyses as assigned

General Requirements / Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or another analytical discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in a revenue operations or similar capacity within a finance function, or experience as an intern/analyst/associate at a fast paced, high-growth startup, or similar environment

  • Experience partnering with Product Managers, Marketing, Finance, and Account Management stakeholders to influence, drive and implement strategies.

  • Ability to effectively self-manage workload, prioritize and streamline multiple tasks to ensure accuracy and, take “ownership-mentality” in work is a must

  • Meticulous attention to detail -- you are able to read through in-depth data reports and pull-out key takeaways and map them out visually using tools such as LucidChart or Powerpoint

  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with finance and non-finance people alike

  • Highly skilled in analytics and financial modeling -- Excel modeling knowledge is required (INDEX,MATCH,SUMIF,PivotTable etc); Snowflake, SQL, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI is a plus

  • Positive and enthusiastic collaborator within internal teams and cross-functionally

  • Willingness to learn digital advertising and its concepts through a mini-research exercise

  • General familiarity with the marketplace business model, as well as the competitive landscape and operational models of Ad-Serving Companies, Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), Programmatic Advertising, Media Agencies / Trading Desks a plus
