Location: Washington, D.C. or New York, NY

Position Summary :

Evaluate business performance, provide daily & long-term acquisition outlook, communicate variance sources to management, and perform analysis to evaluate impact of marketing initiatives on outlook & historical performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop daily forecasting model for expected subscription sales for each business line

  • Create dynamic tools that provide visibility into forecast variance

  • By business line, by channel and by marketing communication

  • Summarize & communicate variance sources to management and engage in deep-dives as necessary to help the business take immediate action

  • Provide long-term outlook for each business line based on trends and clearly explain assumptions made

  • Partner with stakeholders to provide analytic support for operational and/or strategic initiatives

  • Assess impact of marketing initiatives on overall sales performance, examples: pricing change, addition of new communication, and other tactical changes

  • Evaluate cohort variables and impact on outlook from mix changes, examples: demographic, vehicle mix, etc.

  • Create data depository of all marketing initiatives so that it can be used as an input in forecasting using modeling tools

  • Lead ad-hoc analysis as requested

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Science, MBA preferred

  • Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other quantitative field

  • 4-8 years of experience in marketing or business analytics, management or financial consulting

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SQL, or demonstrate ability to learn quickly & independently.

  • Knowledge of any statistical package strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with basic statistical concepts

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
