We’re looking for a Director of Hardware Programs to lead our Hardware Program Management team in the PMO.
What you will do:
Team Management:
Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams
Provide guidance and direction to team members
Foster a collaborative and productive working environment
Monitor and manage team performance
Project Planning:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel and materials
Set clear project milestones and timelines
Organise all development activities from discovery through go to market
Risk Management:
Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project timelines
Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and regulations
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with stakeholders
Provide regular project status updates to senior management
Resolve conflicts and issues within the project team
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Budget and Resource Management:
Monitor project budgets and expenses
Optimise resource allocation for maximum efficiency
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation
Prepare reports and presentations for project reviews
Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible
Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred, but open to candidates in the Central Time Zone.
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
10+ years of experience leading or working on technical projects and programs
Understanding of Hardware Development including mechanical, electrical and firmware
Deep understanding of the NPI process and what it takes to bring an idea to market
Understand the complexities of hardware development and experience leading teams through a go to market experience
Worked on complex hardware development projects preferably in a startup environment
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
A Drive for Results, willingness to learn and push the team to deliver on time and under budget
A desire to learn new things and accept challenges
Comfort speaking to all audiences and the ability to adapt complex challenges into tangible solutions

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Region 1 $215,000 - $250,000
Region 2 $200,000 - $235,000
Region 3 $190,000 - $225,000
