Position Summary:

The Director, Digital Media Analytics plays a key role in providing online marketing insights to clients through ongoing analysis and reports. Additionally, there will be testing and optimization to ensure maximum efficiency of marketing spend. This role will partner with the Digital Strategy and Media teams to interpret results and make strategic recommendations on who to be targeted and the best method to target them to help fuel subscriber growth. This position provides significant strategic value to our teams and our clients. It requires not only quantitative data analysis skills but a true passion for data and the relevant information that it can provide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define logical data model and data visualization

  • Maintains reporting schedules for weekly and monthly reports as well as provides prompt and accurate responses to ad-hoc client requests

  • Draws insights from those reports using a variety of tools and analytical approaches and partners with Digital Marketing team to recommend the best strategy

  • Integrate and analyze data from all forms of online media including paid search, natural search, display and social media

  • Own reporting from the multi-touch attribution platform and where possible integrate source data from platform with internal data

  • Implements and designs A/B testing and possesses statistical foundation needed to determine population sizing and interpret results

  • Disseminates information to Digital Marketing teams regarding marketing performance and ROI

  • Leads meetings to review results

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant expeirence required

  • 8+ years of experience in digital analytics with vast industry knowledge of best practices, in both marketing tactics and data/analytical approaches

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstration of an understanding of digital data and marketing mix

  • Understanding of web analytic systems (such as Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, and Coremetrics) and online advertising systems (like AdWords, adCenter, DART/DoubleClick, and Atlas)

  • Ability to determine appropriate sample size and confidence intervals for A/B testing

  • Knowledge of statistical packages (such as R, Python)

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Excel data manipulation skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access)
