Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Market Data Technology & Services function, you will be instrumental in driving the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge market data technologies across our firm. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless dissemination of pricing data globally, enabling our business units to make informed decisions. You will collaborate closely with senior technologists from various departments, including engineering, operations, and development, to architect and deploy robust market data systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop APIs and operational tools for market data in Java, ensuring high reliability and performance.

• Utilize scripting abilities in Bash and Python to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, Routing Protocols, and Security.

• Work proficiently in both Linux and Windows operating environments.

• Implement CI/CD processes using tools such as Git, Jira, and Ansible, ensuring consistent and efficient deployment.

• Utilize advanced data structures, multi-threaded programming, and caching technologies to optimize system performance.

• Develop performance and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and debug issues with market data systems.

• Provide 3rd level support as the highest level of internal technical escalation.

• Apply RESTful principles and best practices in designing and implementing APIs.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate microservices and full-stack development technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Hibernate, Python, HTML5) as needed.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Core Java for developing market data APIs.

• Strong scripting abilities in Bash and Python.

• Thorough knowledge of network technologies.

• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Git, Jira, Ansible).

• Solid understanding of data structures, multi-threaded programming, and caching technologies.

• Experience with latency-critical, high-throughput distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments.

• Understanding of RESTful principles and related technologies.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in microservices/full-stack development (e.g., Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Hibernate, Python, HTML5).

• Thorough knowledge of Market Data Distribution technologies (e.g., Refinitiv, Bloomberg).

• Expertise in consolidated and direct feeds.

• High-level experience in market data content from multiple providers.

• Experience with Refinitiv RFA, RTAPI, and Bloomberg market data APIs.

• Knowledge of financial market applications, exchange data, and internal trading flows.
