Lighthouse Commercial Insurance, Inc. Associate Account Manager in Havertown, Pennsylvania

Located in Havertown, PA, Lighthouse Commercial Insurance provides insurance solutions to businesses in Philadelphia and the surrounding Tri-State area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the commercial insurance industry at an active and growing agency.

POSITION

  • This position will service the daily needs of our accounts, including but not limited to:
  • Issuing certificates of insurance
  • Amending policies by adding and deleting vehicles, equipment, and properties
  • Resolving billing issues
  • Reviewing and distributing policy documents
  • Reviewing and reconciling annual audits • Quoting and issuing small business policies
  • This position will report directly to the Service Manager and Account Executive
  • This is a 9 AM to 5 PM in-person position. Alternate schedules are not available for this position at this time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Competent and efficient computer skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows filing, Outlook.
  •  In addition, you will learn to use our online agency management database and to work in various carrier agency portals.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to take phone calls and effectively relay information to both clients and insurance carrier personnel.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely by email and in written formats like proposals and coverage summaries.
  •  Ability to take responsibility and ownership of a problem or issue and to follow through to resolution.
  • The successful candidate will be service-oriented, friendly, and positive, a quick learner, and will have an interest in developing depth and breadth of knowledge in the commercial insurance industry.
  • A Commercial Insurance license is not required for hiring, but you will be expected to study for and obtain a Pennsylvania Property & Casualty Insurance License within the first 6 months of employment. Lighthouse will provide the materials and resources for study.

The successful Associate Client Account Manager may progress to Client Account Manager and Senior Client Account Manager based on developing knowledge of the industry, agency operations, and our client base. With experience, opportunities are available to transition into more specialized roles such as Account Executive, Marketing Specialist, and Producer.
