This position of Public Health Program Manager is in the Health Research Office and is with our newly created Commonwealth Universal Research Enhancement division. In this role, you lead and supervise a team in the creation of requests for applications, evaluation of application materials received, determination of awardees and associated funding levels, full execution of grant documents, as well as manage all aspects of the grant multi-year lifecycle through completion and expiration. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Public Health Program Managers plan, develop, manage, and coordinate contracting and granting activities with eligible individuals, monitor contract and grant agreement life cycles, and evaluate contract or grant amendment, budget adjustment or no cost extension requests.

Duties include overseeing subordinate management of separate committees to establish and publish annual meeting and work cycle schedules, and drafting meeting agendas. You also oversee subordinate coordination of the Department's Institutional Review Board (IRB), which includes timely receipt and logging of incoming applications, weekly meeting schedule agendas. and assignment of newly received applications to IRB members.

Supervisory duties over office Public Health Program Administrators includes the identification of grant cycles, development and execution or procurement of contracts, and tracking of responses to procurement documents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Public Health Program Administrator; or Seven years of professional experience in development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and five years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience supervisory or consultative experience.
