Yulista Management Services, Inc Facility Manager JR105029 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Primary Function

This position is responsible for performing the safe operation of the Davison Army Airfield Yulista Contractor Site. Coordinates maintenance, maintenance operational checks, ensures safe operating conditions, and ground runs by contractor employees. Maintains GSE and Supply operations to support the site.

Essential Duties

  • Records and reports the aircraft status as required by applicable service guidance.
  • Provides technical expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) for NVESD in aircraft maintenance.
  • Performs ground support of systems/component integration tests for NVESD to include systems testing.
  • May be assigned test management responsibilities including coordination of resources, monitoring test conduct for activity readiness, tracking and reporting efforts for the Armys legacy and developmental helicopter fleet.
  • Accomplishes TDY mission support when tasked by the Program Manager or designated representative and support any other flight and non-flight tasking as directed through their chain of command.
  • May be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory responsibilities of all Yulista employees at the site. This position has the responsibility and authority to ensure complete compliance with all federal and state EPA, HAZMAT, OSHA, Fire and Building Safety, SASOHI, local regulations and procedures by conducting routine, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual audits of all work areas, SOPs and Safety Programs, and to ensure maintenance is completed IAW FGOPs, Army Regulations, and Directives. Complies with AMAM, ASAM, and AWRs.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Ability to follow a process.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Climbs on top of and down from aircraft using aircraft hand/foot holds, capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. overhead, on feet all day, walk up to 2 miles per day.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field of expertise desired.
  • Safety Certification desired.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in aircraft maintenance and safety roles.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Graduate of a military Maintenance (Army Preferred) and Safety Certifications
