Robert Bosch LLC seeks Project Manager (Multiple Positions) in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Escalate critical issues and decision needs beyond agreed project management plan to line management, project sponsor or project review committee. Issue directives to the project team members and delegate responsibilities to them. Approve purchasing requests within approved project management plan (considering Robert Bosch and Business Unit-specific policies). Participate appropriately in nomination, performance evaluation (e.g., Goal Performance Dialog) and further qualification of direct assigned project team members respecting legal restrictions. Overall, technically, and economically responsible for the Business Unit product/project (sub-projects Hardware, Software, Calibration, and services within scope of sold business case (sold product)) and the associated development, from start of development to quality gate 5 or 6 months after. Responsible for achieving the project objectives and goals "on time", "on spec/quality", "on budget", "on profit" (Earnings before interest and tax / Customer Special Sales) # as contracted in project charter. Maintain and increase customer satisfaction by appropriate customer communication regarding project deliverables and achievement of customer project goals. Is the customer interface for Business Unit product & associated development, conducts customer meetings where required in consultation with the System Project Manager. Responsible for target achievement (according to project charter) and deviation countermeasures (e.g., in Plan Product Cost, budget); price, Special Earnings in sales responsibility. Conduct team related activities. Support team activities in lessons learned, information exchange withing the group with presentations and training support. Involve acquisition related activities. Review and analyze customer statement of work, functional specifications, lead discussions with customer to clarify Bosch proposed product solution. Telecommuting: Hybrid - 3 days as work from home.

This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, System Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Product Manager, Hardware Engineer or related occupation involving embedded system development. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Assessing risks in the automotive environment, such as HW, SW, Security, Safety, Timeline Causality, development, or validation concerns; (2) Leading the multifaceted design and multidisciplinary group through Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, or Calibration system development; (3) Evaluating the trade-offs of cost, effort, timing and risk of solutions in the design of a combined Hardware, Software and Calibration system; (4) Synergizing development with current and planned programs to optimize re-use and maximize commonality; (5) Creating, maintaining, adapting and reviewing overall project timing in synchronization with sub project and customer timing; and (6) Quality assurance leadership including ASPICE and problem solving with standard methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc).
