Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, and production. Perform capacity planning and develop data models. Coordinate development of logical and physical database structures. Create and analyze database objects and tune system performance. Perform capacity planning and storage management. Write shell scripts to automate tasks. Control migration of programs, database changes, reference data changes, and menu changes. Coordinate migration and database upgrades. Generate and interpret reports. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures. Implement backup and recovery strategies. Implement and maintain data encryption. Specify users and user access levels. Perform reorganization to assist in database peak performance. Troubleshoot performance. Train users. Utilize Windows, Sun Solaris, RHEL, SQL Server, Oracle, OEM, Grid Control, RMAN, SQL Loader, SQL Plus, SQL Developer, TOAD, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate, Data Pump, Putty, AWR, ADDM, Query Analyzer, SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX Shell Scripting. Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Requires Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 6 months experience OR Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 5 years progressive experience.
