Delaware North Accounting and Finance Analyst, Shareholder Relations in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an Accounting and Financial Analyst to join our team. This role supports the Shareholder Relations Department, including working closely with certain Principals of Delaware North. The role is responsible for the Shareholder Relation’s accounting and financial analysis functions. The role requires project management in a fast-paced with a high degree of diversity, complexity, and confidentiality. This role is also responsible for doing various spreadsheets and calculations to support the Director and Senior Accountant of the Department. The role performs a broad variety of administrative functions such as expense management of Shareholders, including invoices, bill payments, and other related actions. Engagement with special projects in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of diversity, complexity, and confidentiality is also required.

This role will be hybrid, based out of our Buffalo, NY office.

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66800 - $84100 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution and reporting of accounting, financial analysis, and investment reports.

  • Execute strategies for accounting policy, financial reporting, ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems; support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.

  • Review and analyze new business proposals assuring accuracy and consistency with shareholder goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet budget demands and project goals.

  • Plan and execute special projects, ensuring timely, accurate, and on-budget completion.

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, investment performance reports, schedules, and ledgers for company shareholders to comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

  • 3+ years experience in a Accounts Payable function.

  • 2+ years experience in an administrative office position.

  • Experience in GAAP reporting, and a conceptual understanding of accounting practices.

  • Experience with Office 365, Word, Quicken and/or QuickBooks preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, make frequent judgment calls, and manage diverse and complex projects with confidentiality.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and professionalism are essential for handling multiple tasks with confidentiality and prioritizing effectively.
